How I started
My first deal was in 2007. It was a condo in Hoboken that I bought and rented out, and I've been investing in New Jersey ever since.
Real estate was already in the family. My family has been in commercial real estate for decades, and I helped manage it.
Since that first condo, I've done a lot of deals and flips.
Where I know best
I grew up in Bergen County, and I've lived in Hoboken for about 20 years. The markets I know best are North Jersey and the Jersey Shore.
Appraize
I'm a working real estate investor in New Jersey. On every property, I wanted to see all the ways the deal could work before I made an offer. Most tools make you pick a strategy first, so I built the tool I wanted.
Speed was the other reason. Running the numbers on a property used to take me hours, and a lot of the time I'd get to the end and find out it wasn't a deal. I wanted a quick first-glance answer before I dug in deeper.
Enter any US address and Appraize models all 8 exit strategies: wholesale, fix and flip, BRRRR, buy and hold, subject-to, seller finance, lease option and novation. Comps from real MLS data, ARV, a repair estimate and a max offer for each.
My companies
Mojo House Buyers is the company I buy houses through in New Jersey. It's where sellers reach me about a property.
Liva Holdings is my buyers list for investors, nationwide. When I have a deal, it goes out to the list with the full analysis attached, so buyers can check the numbers themselves.
Elsewhere
I'm on LinkedIn. I've also written a set of guides on selling a house in New Jersey.
